Metalized Film vs. Non-Metalized Film

Food Packaging at World Wide Gourmet Foods

At World Wide Gourmet Foods (WWGF), product integrity and food safety are our top priorities. To maintain compliance with our SQF certification and uphold our HACCP protocols, we do not use metalized film in any of our packaging operations. This decision is rooted in our critical control point that includes metal detection of every product after final packaging. Since metalized film would trigger false positives during this step, its use would compromise the reliability of our food safety system.

In summary, WWGF uses high-barrier non-metalized films that offer comparable protection to metalized films in terms of moisture and oxygen barrier properties. These films allow us to maintain rigorous metal detection standards, ensuring the safety and quality of all products we manufacture. Customers can be assured that our packaging choices are made with both performance and safety in mind.
