GRANOLA PRODUCTION DIAGRAM
SYRUP

Groen Oil Jacketed Kettle Cooker
Featuring an auto-mixing blade, this large volume kettle cooker can produce perfectly mixed syrups to season or flavor your snacks. Oil jacketed kettles can also produce confections, which means that we can produce things like toffee peanuts or similar items.

MIX

Double Arm Mixer
Double arm mixers provide more even mixing, which is a necessity for doughs. Providing a high capacity, this mixer allows us to streamline production and results in less downtime for our dough extruder.

BAKE

Revent Rotating Rack Ovens
Featuring a central rotating point, these ovens are loaded with full racks and provide even heating for scalable production. With belt driven ovens, you can experience a significant degree of waste due to hot spots. Rotating rack ovens prevent that by both using convection fans to circulate the hot air and by rotating the racks as well to prevent hot spots from forming. These ovens are great to set the seasoning on a snack mix and provide a kill step, improving your product’s shelf life and overall food safety.

CARDBOARD SHIPPER (optional)

GRANOLA TYPES

Traditional Granola – Featuring a loose consistency and a heavy ratio of oats to nuts and dried fruit, this granola is the most affordable and what most people think of when they think granola. Served with milk or yogurt or eaten on its own, this granola provides fiber and protein and is a healthy option for breakfast.

Muesli – Featuring a loose consistency and a focus on having the customer mix with milk or yogurt to create a porridge-like finished product. Muesli can feature a wide variety of Better for You ingredients, like added protein, fiber, or adaptogens to make the base product more nutritious. Muesli is a traditional European-style granola and is a very healthy option for breakfast enjoyed around the world.

Granola Clusters – Featuring more sugar and fat to create crunchy clusters of oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruit, these are the flavor packed version of traditional granola. Granola Clusters have been popularized in many national brands of granola and can be made with lower glycemic index sweeteners like honey and substitute sugars. These flavor packed clusters are typically baked a little longer than Traditional Granola or Muesli, which results in a crunchier texture and a deeper flavor. Granola Clusters can also feature Better for You ingredients, to provide more nutrition and function to a delicious breakfast option.

Grain Free Granola – Featuring no oats or grains of any kind, this granola is heavy with seeds, nuts, and dried fruit. Grain Free Granola is low in basic carbohydrates, but high in fiber from the seeds and dried fruit used to flavor it. To make it more flavorful, Grain Free Granolas typically use spices and alternative sweeteners to create traditional and unique flavors. Grain Free Granola is typically the most functional of all granolas, as it uses seeds and nuts for flavors, rather than sugar and oats. Grain Free Granola is also the most expensive of all granolas due to its use of higher cost ingredients.
